Smart XSS Attack Surveillance System for OSN in Virtualized Intelligence Network of Nodes of Fog Computing

چکیده

ThisarticleintroducesadistributedintelligencenetworkofFogcomputingnodesandClouddata centresforsmartdevicesagainstXSSvulnerabilitiesinOnlineSocialNetwork(OSN).Thecloud datacentrescomputethefeaturesofJavaScript,injectsthemintheformofcommentsandsavedthem inthescriptnodesofDocumentObjectModel(DOM)tree.ThenetworkofFogdevicesre-executes thefeaturecomputationandcommentinjectionprocessintheHTTPresponsemessageandcompares suchcommentswiththosecalculatedintheclouddatacentres.Anydivergenceobservedwillsimply alarmthesignalofinjectionofXSSwormsonthenodesoffoglocatedattheedgeofthenetwork. Themitigationofsuchwormsisdonebyexecutingthenestedcontext-sensitivesanitizationonthe maliciousvariablesofJavaScriptcodeembeddedinsuchworms.Theprototypeoftheauthors’work wasdevelopedinJavadevelopmentframeworkandinstalledonthevirtualmachinesofClouddata centres(typicallylocatedatthecoreofnetwork)andthenodesofFogdevices(exclusivelypositioned attheedgeofnetwork).VulnerableOSN-basedwebapplicationswereutilizedforevaluatingthe XSSwormdetectioncapabilityoftheauthors’frameworkandevaluationresultsrevealedthattheir workdetectstheinjectionofXSSwormswithhighprecisionrateandlessrateoffalsepositivesand falsenegatives.
